Motor was bore scoped and the cylinders were found with cross hatching. We removed the cylinder heads and found this engine had had new 4.0 cylinder liners. It is our opinion that this has to be a recent recondition/rebuild as the cylinder block and cylinder heads do not show a lot of carbon (miles). We ordered new head gaskets and re-asssembled the engine. Engine had great leak down.
